Door-to-door air up to 100 kg and sea include US customs and import duty. Heavier air loads ship by air consolidation, where duty is paid at import. Sea prices are indicative until we confirm your product.
China to USA shipping cost per kg
For plain, unbranded goods packed densely, so the billed weight is the actual weight. Small parcels cost the most per kg because every shipment carries fixed handling and customs work; the price per kg falls steeply as the load grows. How the price is worked out
Billed weight
The actual weight or the carton volume (L x W x H in cm divided by 6,000), whichever is higher. Bulky goods like furniture and jackets pay for their size.
Type of goods
Plain goods ship on the general rate. Anything with electronics inside, and goods carrying a brand, use separate channels with a higher per-kg rate.
Size of the load
The per-kg price falls as the shipment grows, and from 100 kg sea freight becomes an option at a fraction of the air price.
How long shipping from China to the USA takes
- Air, door to door: 6 to 12 working days from dispatch, for shipments up to 100 kg. Customs and import duty are inside the price and delivery is to any US address.
- Air consolidation: 10 to 14 days for heavier air loads. Freight and the customs entry are in the price; the import duty itself is paid at import.
- Sea, door to door: 30 to 40 days from 100 kg, with duty included. The cheapest per kg for large, non-urgent loads.
- Before any of these: a few days for your supplier to send the cartons to our China warehouse, where they are counted, weighed and measured before the invoice.
What we ship, and what needs a check first
General rate
Unbranded clothing, shoes, bags, home textiles, decor, plastic and metal goods, tools, stationery and packaging. Most small importers' goods fall here, and the instant offer prices them on the spot.
Higher-rate channels
Anything with electronics inside, even a small circuit board with no battery, ships on the electronics channel. Goods with a brand logo ship on the branded channel. Both cost more per kg and are priced the same way.
A person checks first
Lithium batteries, liquids, powders, cosmetics, supplements, food, solid wood, high-value jewelry and anything that looks like a famous brand. We confirm how it can travel before giving you a firm price, and we say no to counterfeits.

How much does it cost to ship 1 kg from China to the USA?
$17.46 door to door by air for plain goods, with US customs and duty included, arriving in 6 to 12 working days. Goods with electronics inside or a brand logo cost more per kg.
When is sea freight cheaper than air?
From about 100 kg. At 100 kg sea is $398.81 against $707.15 by air, but it takes 30 to 40 days. For very large loads the gap closes, so we quote both and you choose.
Are these prices final?
They come from the same rate card as our instant offer. The invoice uses the weight and carton size our China warehouse measures when your goods arrive, and you pay only after that, by ACH from any US bank account with no fee.
What is not included?
Getting the cartons from your supplier to our China warehouse by domestic courier, which the supplier usually arranges, and cargo insurance. On air consolidation for heavier loads, US import duty is paid at import rather than included.
