What changes the price for bedding and textiles
Duvets and pillows bill on volume
You pay for the actual weight or the carton volume, whichever is higher. Towels and sheets pack dense, but filled items are mostly air: a 5.2 kg duvet set in a 60 x 45 x 40 cm carton bills as 18 kg, which is why vacuum packing pays for itself.
Towels and sheets are the efficient ones
Flat-folded linen bills close to its real weight. 100 bath towels in 2 cartons come to $446.03, around $13.94 per kg by air with duty included.
Duty is already in the air price up to 100 kg
On our door-to-door air service up to 100 kg and on sea, US import duty is inside the price you see and nothing is collected at your door. On air consolidation for heavier air loads, duty is paid at import on top of the freight price.

US rules for importing bedding and home textiles
Sheets, towels, blankets and curtains are classified in HS chapter 63, made-up textile articles. Filled duvets, quilts and pillows usually fall under chapter 94 instead, so describe the goods precisely on the invoice and we classify them. How HS codes work.
Cotton bedding and towels deserve extra care. Under the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, US customs can hold cotton goods it suspects were made with Xinjiang cotton, so ask your supplier where the cotton comes from before you buy.
- Fiber content labels: household textiles such as sheets, towels, blankets and curtains need a label with fiber content, country of origin and the maker or seller identity under the Textile Act.
- Mattress pads: padded pads that sit on top of a mattress must meet the federal cigarette ignition standard for mattresses and mattress pads (16 CFR 1632), backed by test records. Mattresses themselves also face the open flame standard (16 CFR 1633), so tell us before shipping one.
- Filled bedding: a few states require a label listing the filling material on pillows, duvets and quilts, so ask the supplier to add one if you sell nationwide.
- Baby bedding: padded crib bumpers are banned from sale in the US, and bedding for children falls under the children's product rules.
- Curtain hardware: rods and tracks are metal goods with their own HS code. List them as separate lines on the invoice from the fabric.
Packing bedding to pay less
- Ask the supplier to vacuum pack duvets, pillows and comforters. It can cut the billed weight in half or better.
- Fold sheets, towels and curtains flat in poly bags, without the rigid retail boxes if you do not sell them boxed.
- Fill cartons to the top. Our warehouse measures the cartons as they arrive, and a half-empty carton still bills on its full size.
- Pack curtain tracks and rods in their own long carton so they do not crush the fabric cartons.

How much does it cost to ship bedding from China to the USA?
Around $14.98 per kg of billed weight by air, door to door with duty included. The catch is billed weight: a duvet set bills on carton volume, $269.45 for one bulky carton, so vacuum packing matters more than the rate.
Is it cheaper to ship towels and bedding by air or by sea?
Under 100 kg, air is the practical option. From 100 kg, sea is much cheaper per kg: $3.90 per kg on 175 kg of billed duvets and pillows, but it takes 30 to 40 days instead of 6 to 12 working days.
Can I ship mattress protectors or samples first?
Yes. Five mattress protector samples at 6 kg are $90.88 door to door. Padded mattress pads need a flammability test record before you sell them, so ask the factory for it with the samples.
Do I have to pay duty when the bedding arrives?
Not on our door-to-door air service up to 100 kg or on sea: the duty is in the price and nothing is collected at your door. On air consolidation for heavier air loads, duty is paid at import, and we tell you which one your offer is.
When do I pay?
After your cartons arrive at our China warehouse and are counted and weighed. The invoice uses the measured numbers, you pay by ACH from any US bank account with no fee, and nothing is due at delivery.
