What Whatnot sellers should know before ordering
Duty rates vary a lot across Whatnot categories, and they are part of your real unit cost now. Toys and games typically land between 7.5 and 25% combined. Beauty products usually run 10 to 25%, and some cosmetics also need FDA Prior Notice before they enter the US. Footwear is the painful one: base rates reach 37.5% for some constructions, and combined effective rates on certain sneaker categories exceed 45%. Trading cards and collectibles vary widely by classification. We confirm your product's 10-digit HTS code and put the real rate in the quote, so the math happens before you pay your supplier.

Between 30 and 200 kg, consolidated air at 7 to 12 days costs about half per kilogram. Bulky lots like full cases of figures ride sea LCL if you can plan three to four weeks out. Remember your supplier's production or handling time sits on top of all of these.
The paperwork is where Whatnot shipments most often stumble. The commercial invoice needs a specific, honest description: sneakers listed as sneakers, cards as trading cards, because vague descriptions raise hold risk instead of lowering it. We legally ship branded merchandise on our branded channel; keep your supplier invoice ready in case CBP asks where it came from. We review all of it before pickup so your goods do not sit at the border while your show calendar burns.

Can you ship my Whatnot inventory directly to my house?
Yes. We deliver to any US address: home, garage, storage unit, or a 3PL. Delivery is included in the all-in price, so there is no terminal pickup and no separate carrier bill.
My lot is only a few kilograms. Is that too small?
No. We handle shipments from 100 g up to 2,000 kg. A 5 kg box of trading cards is a normal shipment for us, and air express keeps it at roughly $30 to $50 of freight.
How fast can I restock between shows?
Air express runs 5 to 7 days door to door from supplier dispatch. Add your supplier's production or handling time on top when planning a show calendar.
What about branded goods like sneakers or licensed cards?
Yes, we legally ship branded goods. They travel on our branded channel and get a firm price at the quote stage; keep your supplier invoice handy in case customs asks. Footwear also carries some of the highest duty rates, sometimes above 45%, which our quote includes upfront.
Will I get a duty bill when the goods arrive?
No. Our quotes are DDP (delivered duty paid): US customs clearance and import duties are inside the one price you approve. Nothing extra is collected at delivery.
